TCP & UDP Ports
Databases, game servers and other non-HTTP services can be reached from the internet by publishing a TCP or UDP port.
- Under Networking → Private, click the port (or Expose Port) and choose TCP or UDP.
- Enter a Public port between 30000 and 32767.
- Save. The project redeploys, and the port is reachable at
<server IP>:<public port>.
Published ports use the server's NodePort range, 30000–32767; a number outside it is replaced by an assigned one. Allow that range in the server's firewall. Leave Public port empty to keep a port private to the project.
Databases on the internet
A published database port is reachable by anyone who can reach the server. Use a strong password, and restrict the port to your own IP address in your provider's firewall where possible.
