GitHub App (platform admins)
One GitHub App powers both GitHub sign-in and repository access. A platform admin creates it once, under Account settings → Platform → GitHub App.
- Enter the GitHub organization to own the App (or leave it empty for your personal account) and click Create GitHub App.
- GitHub opens with every setting filled in: read access to code and metadata, push events, and the sign-in and install callbacks. Click Create GitHub App.
- You return to Zenavo. GitHub hands the App's keys straight to Zenavo, which stores them encrypted; you never copy a key by hand.
- Enable sign-in: GitHub does not accept the email permission while creating an App, so open the App's settings on GitHub → Permissions → Account permissions → Email addresses → Read-only, and save.
Teams then connect GitHub from Add Service → GitHub or their Team page.
If the platform also has a separate OAuth app configured (ZENAVO_GITHUB_CLIENT_ID and ZENAVO_GITHUB_CLIENT_SECRET), sign-in uses that instead. Remove those settings to sign in through the App.
